  • Grid Workflow User Interface & Grid Workflow Execution Service
The Grid Workflow Execution Service is the workflow enactment engine of the K-Wf Grid system, which coordinates the composition and execution process of Grid workflows. It implements a highly dynamic workflow concept by means of the Grid Workflow Description Language (GWorkflowDL), which is based upon the theory of high-level Petri nets. It provides interfaces to the Web Portal and to a command line client for user interaction and to the low-level Grid Middleware for the invocation of application operations.

  • User Assistant Agent
The main purpose of theUser Assistant Agent / EMBET System is to:
    - Assist user with relevant knowledge/suggestions, which are applicable on current user situation
    - Collaboration among users
    - Sharing and Recommendation of information and knowledge
    - Text description of User Problem translated to domain ontology emelments

  • Automatic Application Builder
The Automatic Application Builder (AAB) is a tool used in the semi-automatic process of workflow construction in the K-WfGrid environment. In reality, the workflow construction process consists of many steps including context matching of the services phase. The AAB is supposed as a contextual matching tool being able to select the best service in a specific context from all services belonging to one class of services.

  • Workflow Compisition Tool
Workflow Composition Tool (WCT) is a system that provides workflow composition service. It is able to transform initial requirements regarding a distributed application meant to be executed in the Grid environment into a structure of workflow. Such a structure is often transcribed using graph notation and then uploaded to workflow execution engine.

  • WSRF2OWL-S
WSRF2OWL-S generates the semantic descriptions of the web and grid services. Such functionality is crucial in order to support pilot applications and effective development cycle, where the descriptions of the services can change regularly. The latest version of the tool has following features

  • Grid Performance Monitoring, Instrumentation Service and Scheduler
Grid Performance is accomplished using GEMINI framework. GEMINI framework aims at providing monitoring data of various types in distributed environment. It uses a deterministic Peer to Peer system for resource discovery for the purpose of monitoring of grid resources, event infrastructure and workflows.  The Scheduler Source code can be downloaded here

  • Grid Organisational Memory
Grid Organizational Memory is a set of tools and ontologies developed in Academic Computer Center Cyfronet-AGH and Institue of Computer Science AGH-UST within the framework of EU-IST K-WfGrid Project. The main goal of this research is to provide means for management of semantic metadata in Grid systems.

  • Knowledge Assimilation Agent
The Knowledge Assimilation Agent (KAA) is a knowledge-based component for Grid service workflows, which comprises three basic unctionalities:
    - assimilates run-time information about Grid services from different sources and produces performance estimations of future Grid service invocations (the KAA-Web Service),
    - performs past workflow analysis and produces workflow result estimations (the KAA-WXA tool) and
    - discovers new potential services through interactive semi-automatic ontology alignment (the OnTal tool)
